Interesting but not quite as clever as Final Fantasy, I’d say.

The long series of merry evenings with the CCD Posse has come to an end. Thank you, Kevin and Oli and Simon and Lewe and Fuchs and Niclas and Säge. Thank you, good people of Oberhausen and Kiel and Wiesbaden and Heidelberg and Rostock and Erfurt and Trier and Kassel and Göttingen. Thank you for listening and cheering and shopping and knowing songs and writing nice words and becoming friends and friends™.

Since I only recall a vague, warm feeling in and all around my heart and a mild and pleasant dizziness in and all around my head, you’ll need to rely on the memories of others to find out what happened, how it happened and if they liked it. So there, a roundup of ten days with Clickclickdecker in other people’s words and pictures.

Kiel, Pumpe:

Wiesbaden, Schlachthof:

Having problems downloading the ep tracks?

Hey there,
are you one of the amazing people that bought the new Petula EP? On a 3,5” floppy disk? That’s great. But it also means that it’s likely that you weren’t able to download the promised extra songs. This is due to the hosting site having changed the rules for guest logins without any notification. I just discovered the change now, and also discovered that the login info I put on the disk is now pretty much worthless.

Damn.

Don’t hesitate to write me either here or at gholdenkords@googlemail.com to complain and demand satisfaction. I’ll make it all up to you.
All the best,
sn

NEW RELEASE! NEW LABEL! OLD TOUR DATES COMING TO LIFE!
So much to be for one autumn day: Tomorrow marks the beginning of my rainy and exhausting and spectacular travels with ClickClickDecker, from Oberhausen to Göttingen, and there will be rain and long drives and new songs and old favourites and the occasional buddy moment. I’m really excited about it and I want everyone to come. Check the last post for dates!
Tomorrow also marks the birth of a new label! Floppi Records is the new Digital Media Daughter of everyone’s favourite tape label, and I’m happy to be the merry midwife!
For tomorrow will be the day of a new Petula release. “Brothers” is a 3-7 song EP with a twist. Two songs will be available online and digitally, y’all know the game, old stuff, been there done that, where’s the twist in that?
Well, there is a third song. There are 5 third songs, actually, all clocking in at one and a half minute and thus perfect to be released on the fourth most beautiful of formats: The 3,5” floppy disk.
These third songs will be released consecutively, gently replacing one another. One for each week of touring, one for mail orders via Floppi Records, one to be released on the new Petulasite. Expect folksy rambles, indie pop hits, electronic sidesteps, beautiful sketches.
Each floppy coppy of “Brothers” comes with a song, a link to hi-res versions of the complete EP, kind regards and gentle notes from the artist. Which is me. It’s going to be incraydabole! All is going to be incraydabole!
